BBJ Member Services

Need a helping hand?  You are no longer alone in your career search.  BBJ offers multiple resources to assist its members in their career transitions.

  •
  • Monday meetings feature informative and interesting presentations on topics relevant to business professionals in career transition.
  • Job leads are shared with all members via the “clothesline” that displays them before and after the Monday meetings.
  • Personal marketing advertisements, or Mini-Resumes and Resumes that tout the professional background, skills and job interests of members are mailed to hundreds of employers throughout the area.
  • Constructive feedback, in the form of resume review and critique, offers fellow members ways to strengthen their resumes.
  • Practice interviews with observers allow the participant to sharpen interviewing skills.
  • Job-search and personal counseling from professional volunteers help those between jobs cope and plan more effectively.
  • A resource library houses job search material and publications for members.
  • Informal groups hold “brown bag” meetings at various locations and times during the week. Organized along broad professional categories, these brown bag groups enable members of similar professions to gain additional opportunities for mutual support, networking and resource sharing.
